The British Woodworking Federation

Rawlings Joinery is a member of the British Woodworking Federation. This means we are certificated to work with FSC® and PEFC™ products following the "Chain of Custody" for environmentally sourced timber.

The FSC

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) is an international network designed to promote responsible management of the world's forests. It was established in the mid-1990s. Worldwide, more than 180 million hectares of forest in 80 countries are certified according to FSC® standards, and more than 26,000 companies have FSC® Chain of Custody certification.

The PEFC

The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is a framework for the recognition of forest certification schemes meeting internationally recognised requirements for sustainable forest management. Since its launch in 1999, PEFC has become the largest certification umbrella organisation covering national schemes from around the world.

Teknos Paints

Rawlings Joinery use Teknos paints. Teknos is one of Europe's leading suppliers of specialist industrial and decorative coatings, offering a wide range of high-quality paints and coatings. Their coatings are water based and do not contain lead, chrome, or other heavy metal additives. They are also technically advanced and environmentally friendly.
